Apple are rumoured to be about to release a new range of redesigned notebooks and iMacs

The entry level MacBooks are said to benefit from a redesign that makes them slimmer, lighter and lower priced to make them more competitive with cheap Window notebooks.

The Macbook is currently priced at US$999 in the U.S. but sells in Australia for AU$1599 despite the Australian dollar now strengthening to above US85cents. One wonders how long this glaring price disparities can last? It's no surprise that a trade in privately imported Mac hardware is springing up in this country.
